Vaccination catch up clinic for children and young people

Children and young people who have missed one of their school aged vaccinations are invited to get them at a special catch up clinic taking place this weekend.

It will be held on Saturday (25 April, 2026) from 9am to 1pm at Whitmore Reans Family Hub, Lansdowne Road, Wolverhampton and is open to all pupils who have missed a vaccination in school, and for children who are home educated. The following vaccinations will be available:

  • the Diphtheria, Tetanus and Polio (DTP) vaccine, also known as the three-in-one teenage booster for children in Year 9 and above. This booster is the last routine dose that provides young people with long lasting protection into adulthood
  • the Meningococcal (Men ACWY) vaccination for children in Year 9 and above which helps protect young people against 4 types of meningococcal disease which can cause both meningitis and septicaemia
  • the HPV vaccine for children in year 8 which helps protect against cancers caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV)
  • and the MMR vaccination for children in Year 1 and above which provides long lasting protection against measles, mumps and rubella.
