The offer for free parking, all day on Saturdays and Sundays and after 3pm weekdays, runs from 6 December through to 23 December at the following council car parks:
- Temple Street
- Tempest Street
- Peel Street
- School Street
- St George’s Parade
The council’s Fold Street car park will also be free to park, on weekdays only after 3pm, until 23 December.
Additionally, Broad Street car park is also currently free to use from 5pm to 5am every day, which continues until 5 January, 2026 when a new flat rate of £2 from 5pm to 5am will be introduced.
Councillor Chris Burden, City of Wolverhampton Council’s Cabinet Member for City Development, Jobs, and Skills, said: “There’s plenty going on in the city over the coming weeks and this free parking offer will help support businesses further, and boost the local economy.
“So, what are you waiting for? Come and pay a visit to Wolverhampton and get in the Christmas spirit! We’ve got amazing shops and a growing and thriving night-time economy, underpinned by bars and eateries as well as big venues like The Halls, Grand Theatre and Molineux.”
Councillor Qaiser Azeem, Cabinet Member for City Transport at City of Wolverhampton Council, said: “We’re delighted to offer free parking across several of our car parks throughout December.
“It’s our way of helping everyone make the most of the festive season and we wish everyone a very happy Christmas.”
Wolverhampton Christmas Market, Dudley Street, runs from 12 to 18 December between 10am and 5pm.

The Christmas at Bantock Market takes place on Saturday 6 December between 11am and 3pm.
