They hope to raise hundreds of pounds to create opportunities for care leavers to take part in positive, enriching activities such as day trips, theme park visits, outdoor adventures, and social events.
Anyone who would like to sponsor the walk is invited to visit Crowdfunder.
As well as the Wrekin walk on Thursday 23 July, care leavers will be organising and delivering additional fundraising activities, helping to grow this fund further while building valuable skills along the way.
Councillor Jacqui Coogan, Cabinet Member for Children, Young People and Education, said: “For many care leavers, life can be challenging and isolating after leaving care.
“These sort of experiences play a vital role in helping young people build confidence, develop independence, and create lasting positive memories, and I would encourage anyone who can to support their fundraiser. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a meaningful difference.”
