Free support and advice available at city’s next Help at the Hub day

Residents looking for help and support on a range of money, health and safety matters, are welcome to come along to an open day in the East Park area of the city next month.

Help at the Hub will see a wide variety of city organisations offer free advice and information to residents. The event will take place on Wednesday 3 June, at St Matthew’s Church, Willenhall Road, WV1 2JQ between 10am and 1pm.

The event has been organised by officers at City of Wolverhampton Council’s Public Protection Scams Team who will be handing out free scams awareness and prevention packs.

Residents can speak with representatives from Act on Energy, Environmental Crime, Healthwatch, KOOTH, Public Protection, SEND Offer, Severn Trent, Talking Therapies, Terrific for Twos, Waste Services, Wolves at Work, Wolverhampton College and Work Well.

Councillor Bhupinder Gakhal, cabinet member for resident services at City of Wolverhampton Council, said: “Our Help at the Hub events are a fantastic way to take support and advice into local communities and a great opportunity to reach as many people as possible.

“Gathering together such a wide range of organisations under one roof enables us to offer guidance and help across a range of matters and means people can find help on a number of matters at the same time.

“People can pop in and find advice and assistance on anything from health and education to waste services and public protection. Please join us on 3 June for a chat and to find support.”

People do not have to book an appointment but are asked to please be prepared to wait if the event is busy.
